About us

Simple. Safe. Smart.

History

The SlideMinder Slope Monitoring & Warning System was developed in 2003 by engineers and geologists at the consulting firm Call & Nicholas, Inc. to provide clients with a reliable, affordable, and easy-to-use slope monitoring alternative.

Since then Call & Nicholas, Inc. has become a leader in wireline extensometer slope monitoring equipment. With hundreds of units deployed to date, SlideMinders are reporting the critical data needed for engineering design and operational safety at locations around the world.

Built in Tucson, Arizona, SlideMinders are deployed worldwide in a variety of diverse and often harsh conditions. Self-contained, self-charging, self-reporting and easily deployed, SlideMinders gather and report critical data remotely using radio and/or local Wi-Fi networks to a local server for analysis and warning evaluation.

SlideMinders can be easily added to the network and controlled using our proprietary web-based server software, called OREAD, which is included with the initial order of SlideMinder extensometers.

Our dedication to providing our clients with a superior and intuitive product at an affordable price has earned us a reputation as an essential component for any slope monitoring project. Call or email us today to discuss how a SlideMinder Slope Monitoring & Warning System can be integrated into your operation. We look forward to working with you!
